The Nileshwar Co-operative Bank Ltd No. S 281 registered under Co-operative Societies Act on 16/01/199 and business started on 20/01/1999. It has obtained RBI License on 23/09/1999. The Head office cum Main Branch situated in Convent Junction,Perole, Nileshwar and the Bank working jurisdictions is within One Muncipality of Nileshwar and Fourteen Grama panchayat of Kinanoor-Karindanlam, Madikai, Cheruvathur, Pilicode, Padne ,Trikaripur , valiyaparamba, Kayyur-Cheemani,West Eleri, East Eleri, Balal, Panathady,Kallar and Kodom Bellur of Kasargod District

History

The Nileshwar Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd; was started to function as a licensed Urban Bank with effect from 1st November, 1999. aimed to promote the financial needs of the weaker section to the common people including industrial labourer , agricultural labourers, small traders, salaried persons, etc in our area of operation. We are very happy to fulfil the expectations of our customers and through the employees, time-tested quality, and innovative excellence.

The bank commenced business on 20/01/1999. The bank was inaugurated by Chief Minister Sri. E.k.Nayanar . Sri T T V Bhaskaran was the first chief promoter of the bank, was the first chairman of the bank till 2010. Then Sri K P Narayanan was elected as the chairman and continuing.The Present Chief Executive Officer of the Bank is Sri. Rajeevan M V

During the short period of working the Bank has achieved rapid progress in all sectors viz, admitting members, augmentation of paid –up capital, mobilization of deposits and advancing of various loans and advances. The Bank has also achieved in purchase of Landed property of 13.75 cents and constructing a spacious two storied owned building for housing the Head Office and Main Branch. The Bank has also started second branch at Market Place of NIleshwar Muncipality in 2010 , third branch at Cheruvathur in 2014 and Fourth branch at Trikaripur during 2015-16 as permitted by RBI. The Bank has amended its byelaw extending the area of operation consist of the whole of Nileshwar Municipality and Kinanoor-Karindanlam, Madikai, Cheruvathur, Pilicode, Padne ,Trikaripur , valiyaparamba, Kayyur-Cheemani,West Eleri, East Eleri, Balal, Panathady,Kallar and Kodom Bellur Panchayats of Kasaragod District.
